Understanding the needs of professional podcast production.

We ran an intensive research program at Spotify owned Gimlet to better understand if Soundtrap had the capabilities that were necessary for it to be an enterprise solution and if it was congruent with Soundtrap’s technical roadmap and competing business goals.

Research goals
To gauge technical vialbility of Soundtrap in being an enterprise grade podcast creation tool.

Methods
From participatory user journeys to shadowing, being a fly on the wall & having in depth interviews. 

Impact
We informed key business strategy and helped inform Soundtrap’s position as a Podcasting tool.














Lo - hi fi prototype testing

Understanding the potential for capturing ideas and music making on mobile devices.



We ran foundational research to understand what a mobile application for musicians should do.

Research goals
Understand what Soundtrap’s own music making mobile application could look like.

Methods
We visited studios, ran interviews and conducted diary studies. 

Outcomes
It provided the insights necessary for building the mvp of Soundtrap’s capture app.
